International Order & Peace Course
    Investigating a new international order in order to achieve
true world peace

This course aims to bring the subjects of international politics, international law and international economics together, and study specific problems commencing with international expansion of organizations and economic conflicts, as well as the role of United Nations in regional conflict from basic problems such as the
meaning of wars, human rights and peace, and considers a new international order and the shape it should take.

It also gives students an understanding of international society
from a global point of view, investigate policy and activity required
to realize world peace and improvement of human rights.


Principal courses:
International Political History:This course examines the
relationship between international order, international economic
systems and war, peace, economics and welfare from the period
of the Napoleon Wars to the present.

nternational Comparative Law:
This course examines the construction, characteristics, and legal profession ofBritain and
the
United States, mainly concentrating on American Law. It also
considers the historical background in which they were formed.
 
International Cooperation & Development Course
   

Contributing to the future of international cooperation and realizing sustainable development
This course encourages students to deepen their understanding
of international cooperation regarding sustainable development. Students work on their research by studying specific themes
based on methods of supporting the independence of developing countries; or realizing economic development with less pressure
on environment. Students also develop practical studies,
challenging overseas field works or acquiring diversified area’s language, based on area studies.


Principal courses:
Development Economics: This course examines developing economies from a historical perspective. Students also study the
role of international organizations such as IMF or World Bank, authoritarianism development systems and economics
development of Asian countries.

International Cooperation: The course examines the philosophy
and the history of the system of international cooperation, focusing mainly on ODA. Students are encouraged to consider the future of international cooperation.

 
International Cultural Understanding Course
   

Deepening understanding of a variety of civilizations
and cultures and harmonious co-existence

This course examines the economic and political systems of a
variety of countries and regions, promoting mutual co-existence
through understanding and respect of different peoples and cultures.


Principal courses:
Comparative Culture: This course examines and compares
phenomena of culture in the world in which globalization is rapidly developing and at the same time seeing a resurgence of nationalism. 

Comparative Society: This course introduces students to the
various philosophies of
Europe and the orient through examining
the modernization of European society, while deepening
perspectives of why there is conflict between civilizations.

 
International Administration Course
   

Cultivating language skills and a wide range of
knowledge and, encouraging students to take active
roles on the international stage.

This course aims to cultivate student knowledge, perspectives
and inquisition, giving them the skills they will require to engage
in international administration. Students study constitutional law administrative law, and international law; basic economic theory
and international political history.
Students also divided into small
groups in which they study specialty fields related to the civil service. There are lectures on international organizations and diplomacy,
as well as courses taught in various languages to encourage
language fluency.


Principal courses:
International Organizations: This course presents an overview of International organizations and international administration systems
such as “Musee de l'Institut du Monde Arabe” and theGenevaInternational
High School, from the perspective of international
relations law.


It has been half a century since the founding of United Nations.
Its construction and role is being questioned, and this course
discusses activity aiming at reform of the international administrative structure including the international civil servant system and
establishing and order and peace, development and human rights.
