1st year Approaches to Research in Geography
The objective of this seminar is that first-year students who
are beginners of Geography and hope to study professionally get
preriminary knowledge concerning "what kind of science Geography
is" thorough many sorts of experience by themselves.
It is crucial to distinguish between Geography to study in the
University and geography taught in elementary and secondary education.
As a result, first-year students can stablish the solid foundations
for professional learning and researches after second year.

2nd year Basic Readings in Geography
This class aims to make second year students to get a research
project on their own through reviewing previous works concerning
some fields of Geography after seising preriminary knowledge about
Geography in the first year.
In the first semestar, second year students read systematic and
basic treatises and make presentations on the results. In the last
half year, they read several articles and put them together in order
to find out about the development of researches. Finally, the achievements
of this class are presented.

3rd year Seminar 1 / 4th year Seminar 2
These classes focus on to master basic requirements towards writing
their senior thesis. Students learn about how to read, methods for
investigation, presenting techniques and writing skills.
The target of these classes are that students get able to be proactive
in setting a subject on their researches, finishing investigations
and making a presentation on the results.
Seminar 1 and Seminar 2 have got to be held jointly since 2006.
Third year students can get chance to learn from ther seniors concerning
researches or student's life such as job search because of classes
combining third year students and fourth year students.
