Research projects
are obiligative modules for master students in GSPS. For JDS
programme inGSPS, a research project consists of two types
of academic activities. First one is "Field research",
master students learns various practical issues through field
surveys linking with elective modules. Another one is "academic
seminar" for writing master theses in GSPS with a few
supervisors.
At the September
2004 intake, GSPS will offer one research project focusing
on "regional environment and planning with three supervisors
who are initially and tentatively assigned Professor Takao
(environment economics), Professor Zhou (environment systems)
and associate professor Kanegae (planning theory). In accordance
with requirements from some JDS students, other supervisors
are flexibly joining research projects from GSPS.
