The Ritsumeikan University School of Law offers education
that allows students with diverse backgrounds to build
advanced expertise and abilities to fulfill each student’s
vision as a legal professional. Students are also expected
to develop a rich sense of humanity and a broad range
of knowledge. In the 21st century, when the prospects
of the world situation and economy are in extreme chaos,
the roles of the law are always changing. For instance,
there are a variety of emerging problems which the law
has to address in such fields as the growing awareness
of human rights, intellectual property rights issues,
and environmental problems.
Our school, as part of a university with rich educational
and research resources, has always advanced reform and
addressed cutting-edge issues facing society. Building
on the comprehensiveness, diversity, innovative spirit
and a hundred-year history and tradition of legal education
dating back to the Kyoto Hosei School, we endeavor to
train legal experts who have insights into the demands
of the time and who take full advantage of their strengths
in a competitive environment. |
