    On Feb. 4, 2012, Apple Mac Mini Lion server(8GB Memory + 750 HDD x 2) arrived and it would be replaced with the currently using one (Mac Pro Leopard server).
  • On Nov. 22, 2011, Apple MacBook Air (11') arrived at my research lab and I started to use it.
  • On Nov. 14, 2011, four Apple iPad 2 arrived at my research lab and I let my postgraduate students in CALL use them for their final projects.

  • I gave a lecture presentation titled "Intercultural user experience to promote nonverbal communication (nvc) skills' development" at a QUT School of Education seminar on April 1, 2011.
  • While my paper titled "To moodle or not to moodle: Can it be an ideal e-Learning environment?" was published in February, 2011, I wrote two reports for the 2008-2010 Kakenhi Project: The Final Report on ESP led by Prof. Chiharu Iwai of Osaka Prefecture University.
  • I reviewed two articles for CIEC 2011 Spring Conference and one article for TPLS - Theory and Practice in Language Studies.
  • I received the acceptance to give a presentation at CALICO 2011 on May 21, 2011 at the University of Victoria, BC, Canada.
  • I traveled to Kota Kibnabalu, Sabah, Malaysia and attended GLoCALL 2010 on December 1-3, 2010.
  • I started my year-long research leave on September 26, 2010 at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia.
  • I made a confernece (EuroCALL 2010) trip to Bordeaux and then to Paris with my son for September 7-14, 2010.
  • The Nozawas had a summer trip to Izu, Hakone, and Karuizawa for August 29 - September 2 and had a wonderful time at each place.
  • On August 8, I caired a section meeting and also gave a "show & tell" presentation for PCC 2010 at Tohoku University in Sendai.
  • On August 2, my homepage was revised with a new design style.
  • On June 7, I've finally got my iPad (wifi with 64GB) with its dock. I already started to enjoy using it.

  • I applied to give a presentation (Creating Economical e-Learning Materials Using PDF) for GLoCALL 2010 in December 1-3, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia and got accepted.
  • I became a ICTATLL (ICT in Analysis, Teaching and Learning of Language) 2010 Scientific Committee member to review manuscripts and help run ICTATLL 2010 Conference in Kyoto.
  • My application to be a visiting scholar to do research at Faculty of Education, Qeensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia for a year starting in the middle of September 2010 has been accepted.
  • I stayed in Gold Coast for two weeks (3/06/10-3/20/10) with my family.
  • I applied for four different conference presentations (JALTCALL2010-Kyoto, CIEC2010-Sendai, EuroCALL2010-Bordeaux, France, JACET2010-Sendai). I already got all accepted.
  • I gave a presentation (ESP for Tourism -Developing an e-Learning Program on Hotel English) for GloCALL 2009 in Chiang Mai, Thailand on December 10, 2009.
  • One of the recent collaborative works that I co-authored a new textbook titled Studying at an American University: VOA Special English Higher Education Report was published by Eihosha, Co. Ltd. in November, 2009.
  • My article "Current trends in e-learning and EFL in Japan" has been published in a book - ESP e-learning for Global Competency: e-Learning Perspectives in ESP Education. Tokyo: Universal Academy Press edited by Fukui, K. (2008).
