The Study in Kyoto Program
(SKP) brings together students from around the world. It offers numerous courses in Japanese
language and culture, utilizing the extensive historical and cultural
resources of the ancient city of Kyoto. The program also offers courses in English regarding both Japan-related and business subjects. Kyoto, the capital of Japan from
794 to 1868, is an ideal place for study, being a city with one
of the highest concentrations of academic institutions in Japan.
Kyoto is home to some of Japan's most important
World Heritage Sites such as the Ryoanji, Ninnaji and Kinkakuji
(Golden Pavilion) Temples, which are located right at the doorstep
of Ritsumeikan University. It enjoys a harmonious blend of the ancient
and the modern, thus giving students the unique opportunity to experience
