The Ritsumeikan University College of International Relations, established in 1988, is proud and delighted to have launched the Global Studies Major, the first undergraduate degree program at the University to be delivered entirely in English. We look forward to welcoming international students from all over the world onto the Major.
Looking at world politics and the global economy today, it is clear that the most dynamic development in the world is now taking place in Asia. When studying international politics, economics and multiculturalism, it is essential to have a good understanding of this region. The ancient capital of Kyoto, where our university is located, has one of the most attractive and unique living environments in Asia. This fabulous location is an ideal place to develop an in-depth understanding of Asia as a whole, while at the same time enabling you to experience firsthand the fascinating culture and history of Japan.
Within the College of International Relations, Japanese and international students study together and learn from each other. We look forward to seeing our graduates in the future active in international fields and using what they learn at Ritsumeikan to look boldly for solutions to the urgent issues of the 21st century.
