Step5. Screening Method, Application Screening Result Notification

The decision on an application will be made on the basis of a screening of the application documents and the applicant’s performance at interview. The interview will be a face-to-face interview, a web-based interview or a telephone interview. Students living outside of Japan will not be required to travel to Japan for interview.

Please note that the university may, on occasions, make a decision on an application without calling the applicant to interview.

If required, the applicant’s school or referee may be contacted for further information. Applicants will be provided with detailed information about the interview about 2 weeks after the last day of the application period.

The University sends out the results to the applicants by registered mail or by courier. The results are sent out in the afternoon of the dates detailed in the table above and may take a few days to reach applicants’ houses. Results are not announced on the University homepage. Furthermore, we are not able to provide any information regarding results by phone, fax, or e-mail.

Visa application to study in Japan

After acceptance and completion of the enrollment procedures, the University can apply on behalf of the applicants to the Japanese Immigration Bureau for a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) for Status of Residence of “College Student”. The COE is necessary to apply for a “College Student” visa.
