
Ritsumeikan University provides a range of financial support for international students. It also supports applications for scholarships provided by external organizations such as the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).

In order to study at Ritsumeikan University, students who do not have Japanese nationality are required to apply for a 'College Student' visa. The University provides support for students in obtaining a visa. Please see step four of the After Admission page.
Notice of Award of the above scholarships is sent out with Result Notification for admission. Notice of Award is only sent to students who have been awarded scholarships. Candidates who do not receive notice of award should assume they have not been awarded a scholarship.

The level of the award is different for students in their 2nd year and above. For these students 238,000 yen, 190,400 yen or 95,200 yen per semester will be exempted from tuition fees, based on students' grades in the previous academic year. |
