The Ritsumeikan University Newsletter was created to share recent research pursuits and international activities with our overseas partner institutions, international students and faculty, and overseas guests.We hope that this newsletter will serve to further mutual understanding and academic cooperation between RU and our colleagues around the world.
The summer/fall 2009 issue features a story on RU's participation in the Ministry of Education-sponsored Global 30 program, designed to support Japanese universities in their efforts at internationalization.
Also in this issue are articles on virtual environments and microbiology, excerpts from the R-Life Student Blog and all our regular RU and APU news features.
