The Kinugasa Research Organization was established
in 1998 with a mandate to revitalize research
at Kinugasa Campus. This organization
mainly deals with disciplines in the fields
of humanities, social sciences, international
relations, intercultural relations, and educational
sciences. The organization supports and coordinates
research at different institutes and centers,
working simultaneously to expand the overall
research network.

The BKC Research Organization of Social Sciences
was founded in 1998 to promote cooperative
research among the Colleges of Economics,
Business Administration, and Science & Engineering. Through its emphasis on the integration of economics, management, and technology, this organization aims to promote research exchange and collaboration between academic, industrial, and governmental sectors.

Ritsumeikan University provides advanced facilities
and equipment to encourage sophisticated and
active research work. Biwako-Kusatsu Campus
promotes and supports: 1) collaborative research
involving industry, government, and academic
institutions; 2) interdisciplinary research in
close association with scholars in the humanities
and social sciences; and 3) an active social
network. In this way, RU
contributes significantly to the local region.

This organization is making efforts through science and technology at finding solutions to the pressing issues facing Japan. While making use of the characteristics of a private academy, R-GIRO will aim for the creation of new academic fields and contribute to the construction of a nation symbiotic with nature, which is increasingly important in the 21st century.
