1900 Kojuro Nakagawa founds “Kyoto Hosei School”
1905 Ritsumeikan High School is founded as “Seiwa Normal School”
1913 Renamed as Ritsumeikan Middle School
1929 Ritsumeikan Commercial High School is established
1937 Evening classes are established
1948 Ritsumeikan High School and Ritsumeikan Koyama High School are established
1952 Ritsumeikan Koyama High school is annexed to Kitaoji Campus
1988 Coeducational method is enforced and school size is expanded
Relocation of campus to Fukakusa
2002 Recognition of “Super Science High School (SSH)” from Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology
2003 Dedicated facility is established in the co-learning house Ⅱin Ritsumeikan Biwako-Kusatsu University
2004 Educational exchange agreement between both Australian Science and Mathematics School and Mahidol Wittanusorn School (Thailand) are established
2005 Super Science Course is established
2006 Ritsumeikan Primary School is established
Educational exchange agreement between Korea Science Academy is established
2008 Educational exchange agreement between The High School affiliated to Beihang University and Educational exchange agreement between The High School affiliated to Beijing University are established
The 4th International Students Science Fair (ISSF) is held
Educational exchange agreement between NUS High School of Mathematics and Science is established
2009 Educational exchange agreement between Camborne Science and International Academy is established
2010 The first year students from Ritsumeikan Primary School proceed to a higher grade in this school
2011 Educational exchange agreement between Kaohsiung Municipal Senior High School and Kaohsiung Girls' Senior High School is established
2012 Educational exchange agreement between Fort Richmond Collegiate is established
2014 Recognition of “Super Global High School (SGH)” from Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Relocation of campus to Nagaokakyo Campus
