1905

The name, Ritsumeikan, was officially used with the permission of the founder, Prince Kinmochi Saionji.? Seiwa Junior High School founded as an affiliate of Kyoto Hosei School

1913

Ritsumeikan Foundation was established. ?The name of the school was formally changed to Ritsumeikan University.

1947

Ritsumeikan Junior High School (boys) founded as a result of school reform.

1948

Ritsumeikan Senior High School (boys) founded as a result of school reform.

1988

Ritsumeikan Junior and Senior High School became co-educational.? It moved to a new campus in? Fukakusa, Fushimi Kyoto

1990

Canada 4 Week Exchange Program Established

1994

Ritsumeikan Uji Senior High School was established by incorporation with Ritsumeikan and Uji Trusts.

1995

Ritsumeiakn University Keisho Senior High School was established by incorporation with Ritsumeikan and Keisho Trusts.? New Curriculum Established at Fukakusa Campus.

1997

Tawa College (New Zealand) Exchange established

1998

Ritsumeikan University Keisho Senior High School was moved to a new campus in Ebetsu-City.? Ritsumeikan Junior High School changed its class capacity from 43 to 36 students per class.

2000

Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific (APU) was established.
New Zealand Study Tour implemented in the junior high school.
Episcopal Senior High School? One Year Exchange established.

2002

MEXT designated Ritsumeikan Senior High School as a Super Science High School.

2003

Opened the new facility for the Super Science Program at Ritsumeikan University Biwako Kusatsu Campus.? Junior High School classrooms were renovated.

2004

Senior High School classrooms were renovated.

2005

Renewed contract for the Super Science High School until March 2010.? Celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the junior and senior high school.? Australia Study Tour implemented in the junior high school. World High School Summit implemented.

2006

Ritsumeikan Primary School opened.? Korea Science Academy Exchange Program established.

2007

Junior and Senior High School Faculty Research Grant established

2008

Woodlands College One Year Exchange established.? Medical Science Course (MSC) and Advanced Course (ADC) established.? Host of the 4th International Student Science Fair.? Singapore Math and Science School Exchange established.

2009

Refurbish the large sports ground.? Return to a 6 day school week.? Reassessing the school curriculum.?

2010

Ritsumeikan Primary School students matriculate into the junior high school.
