 Mr. Naoki Horii, is Graduate Student in Faculty of Sports and Health Science of Ritsumeikan University, and his research manuscript was accepted and published in PLoS One, which collaborated with Professor Motoyuki Iemitsu. The study revealed that 8-week resistance training increased muscle mass and improved hyperglycemia and the increase in muscular sex steroid hormone levels may contribute to improvement of skeletal muscle hypertrophy and hyperglycemia in type 2 diabetic rats.
