A research assistant, Dr. Atsuki Fukutani with cooperation of a graduate student, Jun Misaki and Prof. Tadao Isaka published an original article in Scientific Reports. This study examined the validity of the estimation method to evaluate the Achilles tendon length changes during human movements, and pointed out the problem which should be solved in the future. By overcoming this problem, a better examination for evaluating the Achilles tendon length changes can be performed.
