2017/08/08 Nobuaki Tottori is Graduate Student in Faculty of SHS, and his research manuscript was accepted and published in Pediatric Exercise Science.


Nobuaki Tottori is a graduate student in Faculty of Sport and Health Science of Ritsumeikan University, and his research manuscript was accepted and published in Pediatric Exercise Science, in which he collaborated with Professor Tadao Isaka, Professor Satoshi Fujita, and Assistant Professor Tadashi Suga in Faculty of Sport and Health Science of Ritsumeikan University. This study showed that larger cross-sectional areas of the trunk and lower limb muscles, especially the psoas major, adductors, and quadriceps femoris, were correlated with higher sprint performance in 10- to 12-year-old boy sprinters. Furthermore, this finding was the first to suggest that greater muscularity of the hip flexors and knee extensors may help improve sprint performance in preadolescent sprinters.
