MSc. Takahiro Takahiro Tanaka is a student of graduate school of Sport and Health Science of Ritsumeikan University, and his research manuscript was accepted and published in International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health which collaborated with Assistant Professor Satoru Hashizume, Dr. Takahiko Sato and Professor Tadao Isaka. This study aimed to compare the foot and trunk kinematic parameters during underwater undulatory swimming between faster and slower swimmers. This study reported that the faster swimmers performed the underwater undulatory swimming by increasing the toe vertical velocity for increasing the horizontal displacement per kick. The increase in the long horizontal displacement per kick could be explained by the increase in vertical velocity of the great toes due to the increased trunk angular velocity. These results suggest that faster swimmers performed the underwater undulatory swimming with greater trunk angular velocity.
