Results will be announced to applicants.

Payment of Admission and Tuition Fees
Successful applicants will have to pay the admission and tuition fees during the designated payment deadline. A visa is required for all international students coming to Japan for the purpose of study. Before obtaining a visa, you must first obtain a "Certificate of Eligibility for Status of Residence (COE)" from the Japanese Immigration Bureau. RU will apply by proxy for the COE for applicants who have finalized all payments mentioned above.

Applicants will be screened based on submitted application documents. Interviews may also be conducted if determined to be necessary.

Announcement of Admission Results by Ritsumeikan
Results will be announced to applicants. RU recommends applicants who passed the 1st screening to MEXT for a Scholarship.
Mid-July 2017
Announcement of scholarship award results by Monbukagakusho
MEXT makes the final decision on scholarship awards and informs RU. RU distributes results to applicants.
Early July to Early September 2017

Announcement of Admission Results by Ritsumeikan
"Results will be announced to applicants. RU recommends applicants who passed the 1st screening to the World Bank for a Scholarship.
The 1st Screening determines admission to Ritsumeikan University only. Students that pass this screening are NOT guaranteed a scholarship from WB."

Announcement of scholarship award results by the World Bank
WB makes the final decision on scholarship awards and informs applicants directly. Applicants confirm enrollment to WB.
