I believe that information science allows us to apply our creativity not only to create beautiful things but also things that have a practical purpose. It offers the opportunity to understand how computers work and how they affect our society.
Professors and classmates are always there to guide us, but in the end, the most valuable lesson you can learn in information science is that much of your knowledge and improvement come from within. It is necessary to look deep inside yourself to work around your weakness and know that you cannot be taught everything and that you need to step up. A big part of what you learn as an Engineer is to become an independent thinker, and to have the capacity of solve problems or propose inventive solutions using the devices at your disposal.

I think is important to treat students as researchers. Students are future researchers in training, and need guidance but there are some occasions that student must also have the will to learn a few topics independently. What is required of the students is for the most part, having the will to learn with a positive attitude and be proactive in reviewing the lessons learned.
