Suzaku Research Library

Characteristics of the Suzaku Research Library

  • The Suzaku Research Library stores materials related to legal matters, Public Policy research, and carries the function of assisting the research of faculties, and the learning of graduate and law students. The library is located on the basement floor of the Suzaku Campus Nakagawa Kaikan.
  • Undergraduate students, graduate students from other campuses, and alumni members may access materials in the Suzaku Research library provided they follow the prescribed rules. However, we ask that these library users do not use the computers/facilities for long periods of time in order to give priority to Suzaku members.
  • Because the library also acts as a research facility, the general public is prohibited access even if in possession of a library card.
  • When entering certain sections of the campus and the library, you will need your student/faculty/staff ID card. Please visit the campus administration office on the 1st floor if you don't have your ID card.

Entering and Exciting the Library

  • Please swipe your student/faculty/staff/library card at the gate at the entrance to the library. If your card does not work, please visit the counter at the right-side of the entrance.
  • Please be sure not to accidentally carry items out of the library that have not been properly checked out. The entrance and exit gates are equipped with sensors that detect whether materials have been loaned out or not.
Please let the reception desk know if you use a pacemaker.

Using of Library Materials

  • Library users are allowed to borrow materials. However, this is limited to books from the Graduate Schools of Law and Public Policy that have seals on their spines. Library users must return these books on the same day. Other books must be browsed in the library.
  • Library users are prohibited from borrowing from the journals, reference corner, and white paper/statistics corner. Please use these materials inside the library.
Please return all materials to their original location once you are finished with them.
If you are unsure of where to return library materials, please place them on the returns rack.
