Born in Tokyo in 1940. Graduated from the Department of Nuclear Engineering,University of Tokyo. Doctor of Engineering. Before becoming Professor of International Relations (Ritsumeikan University) in 1988, he was consecutive Assistant Lecturer of Radiological Health Science (University of Tokyo) , Part - time Instructor of Natural Sciences (Chuo University) , Visiting Associate Professor of Hospital@Management (Tokyo Medical College), and Professor of Natural Sciences, College of Economics (Ritsumeikan University) . Director of the Kyoto Museum for World Peace, Ritsumeikan University since 1995. Council member of Ritsumeikan University since 1996. Teaching natural sciences, peace studies, global environmental issues. Vice-president of the Japan Sceptics which is a Japanese association for the critical investigation of the claims of paranormal. Member of Board of Directors of Peace Studies Association of Japan(PSAJ) ,and the Japanese Association of Simulation and Gaming(JASAG) . Authored many books in Japanese on nuclear issues,war and peace, global environmental issues, and critical investigation into the claims of paranormal. Hobbies: playing magic tricks, making Haiku,and painting. Reproached by AUM Shinrikyo Religious sect as "a forerunner in the field of criticizing supernatural power" .
