Message from the Dean

As Peter Drucker once put it in his seminal book of Management, "[a] university which fails to prepare tomorrow's leaders and professionals is not socially responsible, no matter how many "good works" it engages in." Our ultimate goal is to bring business leaders and MOT professionals into the world, while creating many excellent research works.

Our graduate school was established in 2005 as an independent faculty of studying technology management in Ritsumeikan University. Since then, many undergraduate and adult students from the workforce have enrolled our course to learn the MOT program. In the meantime, faculty members as well as students have grappled with various challenges which firms have faced in term of innovation and technology, trying to attain new findings and to explore new solutions.

In 2010, we opened an English-based doctoral course in which students could complete their doctorates, just taking subjects prepared by English. We are pleased to accept those people all over the world who not only aspire for enhancing their abilities to learn and think but also assent to our vision.
