Requirements for Completion of the Master's Program

Students must acquire at least of 34 credits which include more than 6 credits from "Core Subjects" and 6 credits from either "Tokubetsu kenkyu" or "Kadai kenkyu". Students must submit the dissertation with necessary instruction from academic supervisor and the dissertation must be approved according to the procedure of the program and pass the final examination. Credits from "Introductory subjects" are not recognized as credit required for completion.
*We recommend those who wish to continue for a doctoral course to take "Tokubetsu Kenkyu" course.

Approval of Credits Earned Prior to Admission

  • A maximum of 4 credits earned prior to admission at graduate schools of other universities (including other graduate schools in foreign countries) may be transferred toward completion of the degree program upon consultation with the administrative office.
  • A maximum of 16 credits earned through the Joint degree program with Graduate School of Science and Engineering may be transferred upon consultation with the administrative office.
