Why did you choose Ritsumeikan MOT for pursuing your Ph.D.?
Personally I have been a lecturer at Telecommunication and Informatics Business Management program in Telkom University, Indonesia since 2011. Since 2015 I have had a strong desire continuing my study at the level of Ph.D. in the field of technology management. MOT Ritsumeikan University was my first choice.
The graduate school of technology management, Ritsumeikan University with top-caliber faculty members will provide me not only with the most advanced theories but also the most updated practical techniques from the real business field. I expect that my experience during study at Ritsumeikan University could lead me to becoming a better teaching staff in my campus in the future.
Tell us about your research project.
My research topic is about E-Commerce industries in Indonesia. This research field concerns the practice and theory of strategic decision-makings in technology management. As I know, E-Commerce is one of the important issues in my country. Indonesia with 93.4 million internet users and around 71 million smartphone users has huge potency in E-Commerce market. Government also have a big concern to develop and increase E-Commerce penetration in the country. The research project is trying to give practical and theoretical contribution on E-Commerce penetration and diffusion in Indonesia.
What do you think about advantages studying in Ritsumeikan MOT?
I found the Ritsumeikan University, especially the Graduate School of Technology Management, to be a wonderful institution at which to pursue my research. The resources and expertise available are top-class, there are numerous opportunities for professional development. The administrative supports are friendly and efficient and my supervisor has given me every opportunity to advance my study and career.
