Kyoto --Our Place to Learn--BackHomeNext

Ritsumeikan Primary School will be opened in Kyoto, the centuries-old former capital of Japan still considered to be the center of Japanese culture and tradition. One of Japan's most prominent historical cities, Kyoto contains a number of World Heritage Sites as well as many historical buildings and traditional scenic and cultural areas.

Our wish is that the children who study at Ritsumeikan Primary School will, through their proximity to these historical and cultural sites, develop a true knowledge of Japan's history and traditional culture that they will be able to share with the world. In our classes, we will include a program called "Experience the Real Thing," where students will experience Japan and Kyoto's traditional cultural expressions (tea ceremony, flower arrangement, etc.). A Japanese-style room with traditional architecture and interior called the "Traditional Culture Room" will also be available.
