Ritsumeikan University KENKYU-SHOREI Scholarship (Prize Fellowship for the Doctoral Degree Students)
The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage research activities of graduate students who have achieved excellence in their field of research. Students currently enrolled in a Doctoral Program, year 3 or above of an Integrated Doctoral Program, or 4-Year Doctoral Program are eligible for this scholarship. There are three types of this scholarship. (KENKYU-SHOREI S/A/B).
* Application Eligibility
Students currently enrolled in a doctoral program at Ritsumeikan University who have achieved excellence in their field of research, or who can be expected to achieve the Educational/Research Goals set by each graduate school.
*Regarding these scholarships, doctoral students currently enrolled refers to the following:
- Students enrolled in a doctoral program (1st year, 2nd year and 3rd year students).
- Students enrolled in Year 3 or above in the Integrated Doctoral Program.(3rd year, 4th year and 5th year students)
- Students enrolled in 4-year doctoral program (1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year students).
- Here, currently enrolled refers to students with a status of either enrolled or study abroad.
* Study abroad means study abroad programs offered by Ritsumeikan (i.e. DMDP, Exchange programs).

Students currently enrolled either in a Doctoral Program, year 3 or above of the Integrated Doctoral Program, or 4-Year Doctoral Program who have achieved excellence in their field of research or can be expected to achieve the Educational/Research Goals set by each graduate school.
*Applications for A and B will be accepted together, A for outstanding students and B for students corresponding to A.
*The Educational/Research Goals set by each graduate school regarding applicants shall mean ones stipulated in each Graduate School Regulations.
*Recipients of other scholarships, may not qualify to receive more than one scholarship. Those who fall under this category should confirm eligibility in advance.

Recipients will receive notification from Ritsumeikan University. Please take necessary procedures accordingly. (Scheduled in mid-June).
*Procedures for disbursement will be completed within the first semester.
*Stipend payments will be made twice a year.

Spring: Monday, June 4 - Friday, June 8, 2018 Graduate School of International Relations, Graduate School of Core Ethics and Frontier Sciences, Graduate School of Technology Management , and Graduate School of Policy Science *Spring recruitment are mainly for students who entered the university in April, and Fall recruitment are mainly for students who entered the university in September.

**Not all of graduate schools recruit in the fall semester.
