As everyone knows "a picture is worth a thousand words," there is no need to reiterate the importance of electronic systems that handle images. Displays and scanners are now essential human interfaces for computers, contributing to the evolution of our social life of information. This laboratory focuses on electronic systems that deal with images. Lately, we have been interested in organic transistors, liquid crystal devices, and displays. Students will have opportunities to have hands-on experience in a wide range of research topics, which include electronic materials, devices and their applications. Many of our former students have acquired knowledge on leading-edge technologies and problem-solving skills through their experiences in our laboratory and they continue to flourish in industry.
