Overview of Environmental Systems Engineering Dept.
What kind of knowledge and skills are necessary to solve an environmental problem? Many people would answer this with the knowledge of how to purify water and produce clean energy, and while these are of course important, there’s much more.
In the Department of Environmental Systems Engineering, students learn extensively about the relationship between humans, society and nature, and are empowered to confront environmental issues in a comprehensive and practical way.
Environmental Systems Engineering Research
Many Environmental Systems Engineering gradates play an active part in urban and environmental fields, with knowledge and skills gained from their studies in this department. Particularly the graduates who go on to graduate school are often able to realize their dreams and become a specialist in their field of choice.

For the students considering transferring from technical schools to Ritsumeikan University Department of Environmental Systems Engineerin.
These days many people are interested in the aquatic and the global environment, and you can study these topics extensively at our university.
Since we encourage participation in overseas countries, including developing countries, students can see for themselves, and learn to think in a way that will stay with them for their lifetimes.
