１．事業概要・目的

対日理解促進交流プログラムは、日本政府（外務省）が推進する人的交流事業であり、日本とアジア大洋州、北米、欧州、中南米の各国・地域との間で、対外発信力を有し、将来を担う人材を招へい・派遣又はオンライン交流を行うものです。政治、経済、社会、文化、歴史及び外交政策等に関する対日理解の促進を図るとともに、親日派・知日派を発掘し、また、日本の外交姿勢や魅力等について被招へい者・被派遣者自ら積極的に発信してもらうことで対外発信を強化し、我が国の外交基盤を拡充することを目的としています。

今次募集の派遣プログラムは、ASEAN諸国（インドネシア、カンボジア、シンガポール、タイ、フィリピン、ブルネイ、ベトナム、マレーシア、ミャンマー、ラオス）および東ティモールの11ヶ国へ、将来を担う人材（高校生、大学生・大学院生等）を渡航またはオンラインにて派遣し、各国の方々との交流を通じて日本の文化や生活を紹介します。

Project Title: Virtual ryuugaku for real interactions 2: collaborative empowerment and SDGs

Project Period: Friday, October 1 to Tuesday, November 30, 2021

Application Deadline:  Wednesday, July 21, 2021 (12 noon, Japanese standard time）

Method of Participation: Using Discord and ZOOM applications

How to Apply:

A section to write a self-introduction in about 400 characters is provided.

An explanation of the content of the project and personal information will also be provided, please confirm whether you can agree to the conditions.

Application Results: Applicants will be informed whether their application was accepted around the end of July.

Languages Used: Mostly Japanese, but English and Italian will also be used. (*Applicants can be of any nationality, but please note that the information Ritsumeikan has received is in Japanese so students who do not read Japanese may experience some inconvenience during the application process.)

Fees: No charge (However, any fees incurred while using Discord and/or ZOOM will be the responsibility of the student.)

Content: Students will choose a topic of interest to them from the 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and discuss that topic with participants from Ca' Foscari University and other Japanese universities using online tools (chat, video conferencing, blogs).

Program Abstract:

Communication is a central part of every business. Therefore, for you to be successful in the 21st century, you need to have strong business writing skills. Good writing skills communicate professionalism and competency. At Macquarie University, we aim to develop your communication skills so that you can succeed in the business world. But how can you become a more professional writer? What kind of professional writing skills do you need? Join the English Language Centre Masterclass and find out.Together we will examine the main characteristics of professional writing in the context of email writing. During the session, you will learn how to write more effective emails that engage and inform the reader. You will also become more aware of common writing errors and understand how to avoid them. At the end of the Masterclass, you will be equipped with the writing tools you need to thrive in the modern workplace.

Presenter Biography: Alejandra Vazquez has over 25 years’ teaching experience in Argentina and Australia. She is Senior Teacher Curriculum & Assessment at the Centre, where she has been working since 2001. During this time, she has taught on and developed a range of courses. Alejandra has vast experience in assessment development and has been an IELTS examiner since 2006. Alejandra holds a Master of Applied Linguistics in TESOL and has been a finalist of the VC L&T awards for her curriculum development work twice.
