●概要
本専攻は、中国文学研究において日本有数の伝統と実績を誇っています。橋本循・白川静両先生の学風を受け継ぎ、実事求是を旨とする学問研究に励んでいます。
● 学部・大学院の沿革
 1927年(昭和2年)  専門学部に文学科の前身である文学科国語漢文科が設立される。
 1941年(昭和16年)  文学科の中に国史・国文・地理・漢文の四学科が作られる。
 1948年(昭和23年)  文学部が独立し、四学科六専攻として発足。文学科に中国文学専攻、
 史学科に東洋史学専攻が設置される。
 1950年(昭和25年)  大学院が設置され、文学研究科修士課程に東洋思想専攻が置かれる。(
 1953年(昭和28年)  東洋思想専攻内に東洋史学関係の科目を増設。
 1958年(昭和33年)  大学院博士課程に東洋文学思想が設置され、学部四年・大学院前期課程
 (修士課程)二年・後期課程(博士課程)三年の一貫した教学体系が完成。
  2006年(平成18年)  大学院の東洋文学思想専攻が中国文学・思想専修と改名される。
  2012年(平成24年)  文学部が学域制度に移行。東洋史学専攻、現代東アジア言語・文化専攻ととも
 に東洋研究学域のうちの一専攻となる。
  2016年(平成28年)  東洋研究学域が東アジア研究学域に名称変更となる。
 また2016年度入学生より中国文学・思想専攻と改名される。
研究発表の場としては大学の人文学会の編集による「立命館文学」、専攻教員・在学生・卒業生・大学院修了生・院生などによって構成される中國藝文研究會の編集する「學林」がある。

 

●歴代の主な教授陣
橋本 循 【はしもと・じゅん】
文学部の生みの親であり、長期にわたって文学部長・研究科長を務め、中国文学専攻の教育・研究を当初から担当した。1988年、97歳にて逝去。

1989年には財団法人橋本循記念会が設立され、東アジアの留学生に対する奨学金支給、中国文学に関する優秀な研究論文及び学術誌へ、雅号にちなんだ蘆北賞の授与等の活動を行っている。

主な業績:
    『訳注楚辞』(1935年 岩波文庫)
    『詩経国風』(1961年 筑摩書房)
    『王漁洋』(1965年 集英社)
    『中国文学思想管見』(1982年 朋友書店)など
また、『橋本博士古稀記念東洋学論叢』(1960年)
    『橋本博士喜寿記念東洋文化論叢』(1967年)
    『橋本循先生追悼記念論集』(1989年)
がいずれも「立命館文学」特集号として刊行されている。

 

白川 静 【しらかわ・しずか】
立命館出身で橋本の最初の弟子にあたる。甲骨・金文・詩経研究の第一人者として著名。1967年に定年を迎えて以後も、第一線で活躍。1997年に朝日賞、1998年には文化功労者として顕彰され、1999年には勲二等瑞宝章に叙せられた。

主な業績:
    『漢字』(1970年 岩波新書)
    『孔子伝』(1972年 中央公論社)
    『甲骨金文学論集』(1973年 朋友書店)
    『説文新義』15巻/別巻1巻(1969〜1974年 五典書院)
    『字統』『字訓』『字通』(1984年、1987年、1996年 平凡社)
    『白川静著作集』(1999年〜刊行中)など
また、『白川静博士古稀記念中国文史論叢』(1981年「立命館文学」)
    『白川静博士傘寿記念論集』(1990年「学林」)
が特集号として刊行されている。

 

笠原 仲二 【かさはら・ちゅうじ】
戦後すぐの1946年に本学に着任以来、中国哲学に関する科目を担当した。1974年に定年。1990年、82歳で逝去。

論文集:
     『古代中国人の美意識』(1978年)
     『古代中国人の意識と観念』(1985年)
いずれも笠原仲二博士頌壽記念会から刊行されている。
また、『中国人の自然観と美意識』(創文社「東洋学叢書」収、1982年)がある。

 

高木 正一 【たかぎ・まさかず】
1955年に本学の専任となる。六朝・唐代文学を担当。1977年に追手門大学に転出。
1998年、逝去。

主な業績:
     『白居易』上・下(1958年 岩波書店)
     『唐詩選』上・下(1965・1966年 朝日新聞社)
     『杜甫』(1969年 中公新書)
     『鍾嶸詩品』(1978年 東海大学出版会)
     『六朝唐詩論考』(1999年 創文社「東洋学叢書」収)など
また、『高木正一先生追悼記念論集』(1998年)が「學林」特集号として刊行されている。

 

青木 正児 【あおき・まさる】
1958年に大学院博士課程が設置されるに伴い、本学特任教授として招聘された。1964年、逝去。全業績は『青木正児全集』十巻(春秋社)に収められている。

『青木正児博士追悼号』(1965年「立命館文学」)が特集号として刊行されている。

 

高橋 和巳 【たかはし・かずみ】
小説家としても知られている。1971年逝去。

主な著書:
『李商隠』 (1958年 岩波書店)
なお、『高橋和巳全集』全20巻が河出書房新社から刊行されている。

 

武部 利男 【たけべ・としお】
李白の研究者として知られる。残念ながら、1977年に着任後わずか三年余で病にて逝去。

主な業績:
     『李白小伝』(1955年 新潮社)
     『李白』(1957・1958年 岩波書店)
     『李白』(1972年 筑摩書房)
     『白楽天詩集』(1981年 六興出版)
     『李白の夢』(1982年 筑摩書房)など

 

松本 幸男 【まつもと・ゆきお】
古代・中世文学を専門として研究。2000年、定年。2010年、75歳で逝去。

主な著書:
     『阮籍の生涯と詠懐詩』(1977年 木耳社)
     『アーサー・ウェイリー《袁枚伝》(訳注)』(1992年 彙文堂)
     『魏晋詩壇の研究』(1995年 朋友書店)など
また、『松本・筧教授退職記念中国文学論集』(2000年「立命館文学」)が特集号として刊行されている。

 

筧 文生 【かけひ・ふみお】
唐・宋文学を専門とし、また魯迅を中心とした近代文学も研究。2000年、定年。その後、2005年3月まで特任教授。

主な著書:
     『漢語四方山話』(2005年 岩波書店)
     『唐宋文学論集』(2002年 創文社)
     『四庫提要北宋五十家研究 』(2000年 汲古書院)
     『風呂で読む唐詩選』(1995年 世界思想社)など、その他多数。

また、『松本・筧教授退職記念中国文学論集』(2000年「立命館文学」)が特集号として刊行されている。

 

清水 凱夫 【しみず・よしお】
『文選』の新研究、また『詩品』や『文心雕龍』に関する研究。2007年、定年。その後、2012年3月まで特任教授。

主な著書:
    
 『六朝文学論文集』(韓基国譯)(重慶出版社・1989年10月)
 『《詩品》、《文選》論文集』(周文海編譯)(首都師範大学出版社・1995年5月)
 『新文選學―文選の新研究』(研文出版・1999年10月)

また、『清水凱夫教授退職記念論集』(2007年「立命館文学」)が特集号として刊行されている。


その他
大学院では、設立以来中国語学関係の科目を京都大学の小川環樹が担当。(1993年逝去)現代文学分野では国際関係学部の竹内実が兼任していたが1993年に定年となった。

The past chief faculty members
Overview
This major boasts of great performances and tradition in research of Chinese literature. We succeed the quality of education and research developed by Jun Hashimoto and Shizuka Shirakawa, and are devoted to academic research based on the spirit of seeking the truth based solely on facts.
History of the College and the Graduate School of Letters
1927 Japanese and Chinese Classics Major in the Department of Letters was founded in the College of Specialty, which is the previous institution of the Department of Literature.
1941 Japanese History, Japanese Literature, Geography, and Chinese Classics were founded in the Department of Literature.
1948 The College of Letters including 4 departments and 6 majors was founded. The Chinese Literature Major in the College of Literature, the East Asian History Major in the College of History were established respectively.
1950 The Graduate School was founded and the East Asian Thought Major was established in the Master's Program.
1953 Courses related to East Asian thought were added in the East Asian Thought Major.
1958 The East Asian Literary Thought Major was established in the doctoral program to complete an integrated structure of education, which consists of 4-year college program, 2-year master's program, and 2-year doctoral program.
We publish "The Ritsumeikan Bungaku" edited by the Library Association of Ritsumeikan University of our university and "Gakurin" edited by Chugoku- Geimon-Kenkyukai (The society for the study of Chinese literature and arts) composed of faculty members, and students and graduates of college and graduate school of this Major as opportunities for publishing their researches.
All the past chief faculty members
Hashimoto, Jun
He originally established the College of Letters and acted as the dean of the College and Graduate School for years. He was in charge of research and education in the Chinese Literature Major. In 1988, he died at the age of 97.

Hashimoto Jun Memorial Foundation was founded in 1989, which mainly grant international students from East Asia scholarships and awards excellent theses and academic magazine on Chinese literature the Rohoku Prize, which is related to his pseudonym.
Shirakawa, Shizuka
He was a graduate of Ritsumeikan University and the first pupil of Professor Hashimoto. He is famous as a leading figure in research of Chinese character oracle bone, inscription on metal, and Shi Jing. He played an active part after he reached the retirement in 1967. He was awarded Asahi Prize in 1997, as a person of cultural merits in 1998, and Kun 2nd Zuiho-sho in 1999.
Kasahara, Chuji
He had been in charge of courses on Chinese philosophy since he became a faculty staff of our university. He retired in 1974. In 1990, he died at the age of 82.
Takagi, Masakazu
He became full-time faculty staff in 1955. He was in charge of the literature of Liu Chao and Tang Dynasty. He transferred to Otemon University in 1977. He died in 1998.
Aoki, Masaru
He was called as a special professor of our university when the doctoral program was founded in 1958. He died in 1964.
Takahashi, Kazumi
He is also famous as am author. He died in 1971.
Takebe, Toshio
He is known as a researcher of Li Po. Unfortunately, he died of a disease only three years after he was employed in our university.
Matsumoto Yukio
His major research was ancient and Middle Ages literature. He retired in 2000.
Kakehi Fumio
His major was Tang and Song literature. He has also studied modern literature focused on Luxun. He retired in 2000 and served as an extraordinary professor until March, 2005.
Shimizu Yoshio
His major was Wen Xuan(文選). He has also studied Shi Pin(詩品) and Wen Xin Diao Long(文心雕龍). He retired in 2007 and served as an extraordinary professor until March, 2012.


Others
Tamaki Ogawa had been in charge of courses related to Chinese since the Graduate School was established. He died in 1993. Minoru Takeuchi, who was also a professor of the Faculty of International Relations, taught the field of contemporary literature. He retired in 1993.
