Nutrition and Food Preparation Training Room

MR System / Bone Density Measuring Equipment

Sports and Health Instruction Laboratory

Using the built-in kitchen and food preparation equipment, students undertake preparation of menus and highly nutritious meals, etc., that help to raise competitive ability. Furthermore, the dining section is used for practicing "nutrition education" for all age groups, from children to senior citizens.

Human Calorie Chamber

Energy expenditure in ordinary daily life can be measured accurately.

MR System / Bone Density Measuring Equipment

The MR system is used to examine conditions inside the human body and workings inside the brain; the bone density measuring equipment estimates body composition factors such as bone density, body fat and lean body mass. The data can be used in advanced research relating to sports and health fields.

Sports and Health Instruction Laboratory

This facility has diverse equipment including a “Biodex” capable of measuring and assessing muscle power and endurance, and a "3-D Anthropometry System" for immediate 3-D analysis of human body size and proportions.

Training Seminar Room

This facility is fully equipped with various training machines and free weight equipment. Students can learn training techniques for increasing muscle strength of top athletes.

Ultrasound Medical Device

The ultrasound medical device uses ultrasound reflections to observe the structure of the body, and can be used to quantitatively and qualitatively assess the fat and muscle in the body.

Hypoxic Experimental Room

For analyzing the physical effects of training in a low-oxygen environment.

Biochemistry Laboratory

We analyze biological functions through microscopic observation of cell cultures and tissues and biochemical analysis of gene and protein expressions.

Sports Performance Laboratory

This multipurpose laboratory is focused on measurement and analysis of diverse physical movements in baseball, golf, running, and many other sports. For example, multiple high-speed cameras can observe the movement of athletes and the ball being pitched.
