The requirements for completion of the Graduate School of Image Arts are to acquire at least 30 credits including Creative Project Seminar I (2 credits) and Creative Project Seminar II (2 credits), and to pass the review and final examination (oral examination) of Master's Thesis or Master's Production and Explanatory Thesis.
* Master's Thesis and Master's Production and Explanatory Thesis are collectively referred to as Master's Thesis and Production.

First-year students' spring semester: Research Seminar for Image Arts (designated subject to be completed)
Early April

New student orientation and spring semester registration

Early May

Meeting/discussion with teachers to organize a provisional research guidance team

Mid-May

Preparation of the provisional research guidance team (draft) based on the result of meeting/discussion

Late June

Decision of the provisional research guidance team

Early July

Research guidance by the provisional research guidance team

Mid–July

Presentation of research plans (in the imaging research exercise class)

First-year students' fall semester: Project Seminar (designated subject to be completed)
Late September

Fall semester registration and decision of provisional research guidance team

Late September

The principal teacher in charge of the provisional research guidance team prepares the Research Guidance Plan.

★At this point, students decide whether they choose a master's thesis or a master's production and explanatory thesis.

Course guidance, spring semester registration, settlement of the research guidance team
Submission of Outline of the Master's Thesis and Production and Research Plan (graduate student → teacher)
(Master's Degree) Review Committee is settled.
