This is the 56th year of the World Press Photo and it consists of about winning entries for the World Press Photo Contest held annually by the World Press Photo Foundation, based in the Netherlands. We held photo exhibition every year. The exhibition has been held every year since 1995 at Ritsumeikan University. These photos taken of various events in the world by the highest technology and report capability have the power of appeal to people and describe the reality. We hope to make people find out how world things really are and use this exhibit as an opportunity to thin about peace through these photos.

Two-year-old Suhaib Hijazi and her three-year-old brother Muhammad were killed when their house was destroyed by an Israeli missile strike. Their father, Fouad, was also killed and their mother was put in intensive care. Fouad’s brothers carry his children to the mosque for the burial ceremony as his body is carried behind on a stretcher.
