Purpose of Exhibition
The Kyoto Museum for World Peace will be holding its 103rd Mini Exhibit - A Piece from our Collection "The New Constitution of Japan"
In this Mini Exhibit series, we pick one item from the many stored in our museum, thoroughly investigate it and then introduce it. This time, we will be featuring “The New Constitution of Japan”. “The New Constitution of Japan” was issued as a social studies textbook for first-year junior high school students in August 1947, allowing students to easily understand the Constitution of Japan that was promulgated in November 1946. This year marks 70 years since the Constitution of Japan was promulgated. Through this exhibit, we have the chance to once again reflect upon the Constitution of Japan.
