In recent years, the new drug development market has shifted in the direction
of approaching life-threatening diseases, fighting diseases, and extending
life expectancy.
However, I would like to contribute to people's health by giving back to
society through
“preventive medicine".
"Preventive medicine” is the concept of extending healthy life spans by providing interventions
such as drug treatment to patients while they are healthy or suffering
from minor illnesses.
If we can diagnose minor symptoms or slight changes in the body, in other words,
a kind of very early health checkup, we can approach intractable diseases
(e.g., dementia, cancer, diabetes, immune disorders, etc.) using existing
drugs.
By deepening the methods of the Omics approach and applying them
to various pathological conditions, we will contribute to people's wellbeing
by analyzing all the extra indicators of
disease.
