Call for application for RARA Student Fellowship Program (For students enrolled in the second year of the doctoral course in the spring semester of AY2025)

Outline of the Program

The aim of this program is for those adopted for this program to become "T-type Doctoral Impact Makers" who can generate social impact by deepening their fields of expertise and collaborating with researchers in other fields. As "RARA Student Fellows," adoptees are eligible for various special support programs along with research expenses and research activity support funds (equivalent to living expenses).

*The session will be conducted in Japanese, but Application Guidelines in English will also be distributed.


Eligibility

Those who will be in the 2nd year of the doctoral course of the University in the spring semester of AY2025

*Those receiving the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship, those with the JSPS Research Fellowship for Young Scientists, etc. shall be excluded.

Number of Positions to be Made Available

Approx. 7 students for the RARA x SPRING 


Application/Screening Schedule

**In addition, students of Ritsumeikan University are required to submit their research achievements on the “Ri-SEARCH (Ritsumeikan University Search Engine of Academic Record and Career History of Young Researchers)” (https://gyoseki-web.ritsumei.ac.jp/ritgsap/P300)

2. Letter of Recommendation from your supervisor

3. Self-promotion video (up to 2 minutes long and 30 MB in size)

Submission Method

Please submit ALL your application documents and the video clip.
*Be sure to complete the application during the application period. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted for any reason.

*The date and time of application will be determined based on the log of the time when the application is completed on the application form. Even if there is a delay in application due to a device malfunction, etc., the decision will be based solely on the application log, so please submit your application well in advance of the deadline above.
