---MESSAGES TO THE MEMBERS FROM THE NEW COMMERS---
Sept., 2002-
ヴァン君 DAU, Thanh Van (M1)
I am
Dau Thanh Van from Vietnam, I specialized in aeronautical
engineering, a new field in universities of my home country. Now
I am proud of becoming a member of Microsystem Laboratory,
Frontier Research Centre. The name, according to my idea, is a
full description. I love listenning to music, playing football
and writting letters. Most of all, I love having many friends all
over the world. Going abroad is a valuable opportunity for me to
make this become true.

I was born in Taiwan and I finished elementary school in Taiwan.
I immigrated to Canada when I was 14, and finished my bachelor's
degree in engineering at UBC. I lived in the greater Vancouver
area for about 9 years and came to Japan for my master's degree.
I loved Vancouver and I am very interestd in Japanese culture and technology and as a result I am here in Sugiyama lab getting my
master's degree. I like the people in my lab and hope they will
like me.

Hobby: Sport (ping-pong, football, volleyball
and something else with…a ball), Playing Chess (rather bad),
and travel.
I like studying languages. I used to study Russian, but I have
forgotten it. I also used to study French, but I have no chance
to use it, and perhaps I have forgotten it as well.
Now I have been studying
Japanese for 5 months, I think I am lucky to practice Japanese everyday and
everywhere. I hope to receive everybody’s help.
どうもありがとございます。
