The 21th century is said to be a robotic society, but the introduction process of robots into home is still not clear. One reason why the robot hardly comes into home is that the communication interface between human and robot may not advance. In the factory the human takes care the robot, but on the contrary the robot has to take care the human at home. There may need a big paradigm shift in the development of at-home robot.

In this project researchers of Ritsumeikan University and many indutrial companies made a research team, and new human-robot interface and new life support robot with new sensor and actuator technologies have been developed to apply accademic results of human-robot interface technologies for the innovation of next robotic industries.

This projects consists of following three research themes;

Theme 1. Development of New Human-Robot Communication Technologies
Theme 2. Development of New Human-Robot Collaboration Technologies
Theme 3. Debelopment of Robotization Residence Technologies
