Plagiarism

Using another person’s words or ideas without giving proper credit and presenting them as your own is called plagiarism. This is a concern for anyone who writes, including students. This inappropriate use of ideas from books, articles, the internet, or other student’s work is regarded as stealing ideas.

Plagiarism can have negative consequences, e.g. a failing grade. Plagiarism can be deliberate or it can be unintentional, but it is always considered as academic dishonesty and is taken very seriously.

Remember that using another person’s words or ideas without giving them credit for it is considered stealing, so you should not do this at all.
