Why did you choose Ritsumeikan MOT for pursuing your Ph.D.?: First of all I might say that I chose the MOT program in Ritsumeikan because its large prestigious among Japanese business and technology societies. Also, the infrastructure built in this new campus is the most suitable for joining the technology development and business needs of the Kansai region. Here, it is possible to work in a really free environment of thinking, working close to excellent and supportive researchers, and using a considerable high amount of research sources.
Tell us about your research project: Well, talking about my research, I am trying to connect some concepts from the safety engineering perspective with a business and administration perspective using MOT principles. In other terms, my research deals with the improvement of business performance of energy firms by optimizing its investments in safety technology.
What do you think about advantages studying in Ritsumeikan MOT?: I think that the best advantage of pursuing a Ph.D. in Ritsumeikan MOT is the interaction with the outstanding level of the researchers of the faculty. Besides that, the resources and grants for research are quite available. And finally, I think the location of this new campus, which is close to the major business districts and cultural places in Japan, will make a wonderful place to live and studying.
