Research

My research interests includes ontology-based modeling of artifacts, engineering knowledge management, and practical ontology development. Three central research aims are:

  1. To articulate fundamental concepts important to human's naive understanding of artifacts,
  2. To develop ontologies of such concepts as a basis of systematic knowledge modeling,
  3. To realize knowledge management systems in engineering domain based on them, and
  4. To investigate practical ontology development through the research mentioned above.

Current research

Ontological modeling of functions of artifacts
