Dr. Osamu Tsutsumi

 Osamu Tsutsumi is currently the Professor of Polymer Materials Chemistry at Ritsumeikan University. Dr. Tsutsumi obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Applied Chemistry from the Kumamoto University in 1993 and his Doctorate from Tokyo Institute of Technology (TokyoTech) in 1998, where he was also a JSPS research fellow. Dr. Tsutsumi was a postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Seth Marder’s group at California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and at the University of Arizona from 1998–1999. After staying in the US, he moved to the Chemical Resources Laboratory, TokyoTech, where he was an Assistant Professor from 1999–2002. He joined Ebara Research Co., Ltd. as a Research Scientist from 2003–2007. He was also a lecturer at the Tokyo University of Science from 2002–2007. In 2007, Dr. Tsutsumi moved to the Department of Applied Chemistry at Ritsumeikan University where he was appointed an Associate Professor of Polymer Materials Chemistry.
