Deciphering biological phenomena through lipid and glyco chemistry.
Our laboratory focuses on the chemical synthesis of glycans and lipids, the development of innovative biochemical tools, and their application to glycobiology and lipid biology. Ongoing projects include functional analysis of ER-associated glycoprotein quality control enzymes using oligomannose-type glycan derivatives and photo-crosslinkers, investigation of membrane protein interactions using synthetic lipid probes, and the chemical synthesis of plant cell wall glycans.
