Large scale problems such as climate and wheather prediction cannot be solved without using parallel computing. This course covers the basic techniques of parallel computing. Outlines of parallel computing and parallel reconfigurable systems are lectured in the first half of the course. Then, sorting algorithms, numerical algorithms, image processing, searching and optimization are presented by students in the second half of the course.
