□ Research Theme Innovative analog circuit architecture in the 6G era □ Research Outline For the sixth-generation mobile communication system (6G) and beyond, the use of high-frequency bands such as millimeter waves and terahertz waves, in addition to conventional microwaves, is being considered. However, at higher frequencies, radio wave diffraction decreases, shortening the range of radio waves and leading to communication interruptions. Therefore, we are working on innovative mixed-signal (analog-digital fusion) circuits that freely control and detect wave phase, frequency, and amplitude, aiming to establish "wave engineering" technology that flexibly controls waves by controlling phase to form beams in a targeted direction, or by instantly switching to frequencies with better propagation environments. □ Topics

The envisioned applications of this research extend beyond mobile communication systems from the ground to space, encompassing imaging applications such as food analysis, lesion analysis, and hazardous material detection; sensing applications such as surface observation, moisture observation, and rare mineral exploration from space; IoT communication in the trillion-sensor era; remote wireless power transfer; and even quantum computing applications. Through the creation of new semiconductor integrated circuit technology and its application in wave engineering, we aim to enrich people's lives.
