Research Facilities
Our laboratory performs the entire research process in-house, including thin-film fabrication, microfabrication, and electro-optical characterization. We conduct research on photodetectors, photovoltaic devices, artificial synapses, and related functional devices.

 

Thin-Film Fabrication & Microfabrication

 Thin-Film Mechanical and Electronic Materials Laboratory Thin-Film Deposition Area (Evaporation and Sputtering Systems)

n this area, a variety of thin films, including metallic, semiconductor, and insulating materials, are fabricated for device and materials research.

 

Formation of an ITO transparent electrode by sputter deposition

 

 

Electrical and Optical Characterization Facilities

 Thin-Film Mechanical and Electronic Materials Laboratory Characterization and Evaluation Area (Source Measure Units, Solar Simulator, Tunable Light Source, Spectrophotometer, Electrochemical Analyzer, and related equipment)

 

This area is used to evaluate the responses of materials and devices to simulated sunlight, wavelength-selective illumination, and mechanical deformation.

The transient responses of materials and devices under pulsed light illumination are characterized in this area. 

Optical transmission spectra of materials are measured to evaluate their optical properties.
