~Guideline for Beyond Borders Plaza Use~

As a part of the measures against the new coronavirus infection, we decided to restrict BBP use during the Spring Semester Period as follows.

※If the prohibition of access to the campus based on the “Declaration of a State of Emergency” is extended, usage of BBP at any campus will continue to be prohibited.



~Operation of Communication Rooms / Support Desks for Spring Semester 2020~

Communication Rooms (CR) and Support Desks (SD) at Beyond Borders Plaza will be available on-line throughout the Spring semester from Thursday, May 7.
Please check the following guideline to participate in a session.

<Online tools for use>   Skype for Business

* It is a different tool from "Skype" and you cannot use your Skype account.
* Please check the user manual before starting Skype for Business.

Zoom (use in some session from the week June 8)

*To use Zoom, the meeting URL is posted on the timetable.
We recommend that you download the Zoom app in advance.

* The session URL will be replaced weekly. If you are going to attend sessions weekly, please note it.

You may not be able to check the timetable depending on the device you use.
If you can't check it, please try to browse from another web browser instead of LINE.


<Resevation of Language Learning Support Desks>

SD must be reserved in advance. Please access the following URLs or read the QR code on the timetable and apply from the reservation website.

<Notes>

〇 In order to use SD, you need to reserve in advance.
Please limit your appointment only one per time. You can make next reservation after first consultation finished.
If you made two or more reservations at one time, the closest reservation takes a priority.

〇To participate in CR / SD sessions, you need internet connection.
Please note that a session might not be started on time due to weak internet connection.

〇As the sessions are conducted online, the number of participants in each CR session is limited to about 10 participants.
Therefore, even if you are not able to join a session after waiting for 10 minutes after connecting to the session URL, you may not be able to participate in the CR session.
In that case, please try another session being held at the same time, or try another time convenient for you.

〇You will be requested to enter a name to join each session.
 At that time, please be sure to fill in your full name.
 If you apply for participation with a nickname, you will not be permitted to participate in the session.


<BBP Mileage>

Due to the revision of class conduction for the spring semester 2020, following changes on the operations of BBP Mileage were made.

Both Communication Rooms (CR) and Support Desks (SD) are eligible for BBP mileage points.
After participating in CR or SD, you can earn points by answering the questionnaire below.

※You can answer the above form for each session you attend, but only one response per day will be credited to your mileage points.


~Operation of BBP Mileage for Spring Semester 2020〜

Due to the revision of class conduction for the spring semester 2020, following changes on the operations of BBP Mileage were made.

<During the period when access to the campus is prohibited>

We do NOT use “LINE Shop Card”. Instead, we will inform you of the points you earned by manaba+R in each term on the day of "Start date of getting points" of BBP Mileage Calendar.
To those who achieve the goal of each rank, we will also inform you of the procedure to get the reward so please follow the instruction.

*For the points you earned in Term 1, we will give you the points on May 20, together with the points of Term 2.

The points you earned by answering the questionnaire form after joining Communication Rooms or Support Desks will be given on the same schedule of BBP Mileage Calendar’s "start date of getting points".

・Presentation of BBP original novelty (clear file folder) is temporarily suspended. We will inform you once it is resumed.

~How to make an appointment of the BBP Intercultural Advising Desk〜


○KIC Ms. Fudeuchi If you would like to make a reservation, please send an Email to the KIC BBP office at (kic-bbp@st.ritsumei.ac.jp).
The title of your Email is "a request for intercultural advising at KIC".
In your Email, please include ① your name, ② your college / school and year (e.g. second year undergraduate in the College of International Relations), ③date and time (Please see the Timetable below and choose a time that is convenient for you.)
The date of your advising session will be confirmed by the instructor via Email.

○OIC Ms. Murayama If you would like to make a reservation, please send an Email to the OIC BBP office at (oic-bbp@st.ritsumei.ac.jp).
The title of your Email is "a request for intercultural advising at OIC".
In your Email, please include ① your name, ② your college / school and year (e.g. second year undergraduate in the College of Policy Science), ③ your questions and concerns regarding studying abroad and intercultural issues on campus.
The date and method of your advising session will be arranged by the instructor via Email.


○BKC Ms. LIU SORAYA If you would like to make a reservation, please send an Email to the BKC BBP office at (bkc-bbp@st.ritsumei.ac.jp).
The title of your Email is "a request for intercultural advising at BKC".
In your Email, please include ① your name, ② your college / school and year (e.g. second year undergraduate in the College of Information Science and Engineering), ③ your questions and concerns regarding studying abroad and intercultural issues on campus.
