Dr. Otsuka Mitsuo is Assistant Professor in Faculty of Sport and Health Science of Ritsumeikan University, and his research manuscript was accepted and published in SpringerPlus, which collaborated with Professor Tadao Isaka, Dr. Toyoyuki Honjo and Graduated student Taisuke Ito. In this study focused on sprint acceleration, the acceleration ability with scapular constraint using non-elastic therapy tape was significantly less than that without scapular constraint.  Therefore, scapular behavior in first accelerated running contributes to larger upper- and lower-limb motions and facilitates coordinating whole-body balance for a fast sprint.
