Michio Wachi is Graduate Student in Faculty of Sport and Health Science of Ritsumeikan University, and his research manuscript was accepted and published in The Journal of Physical Therapy Science, which collaborated with Professor Tadao Isaka, and Assistant Professor Tadashi Suga.

The study revealed that the ultrasonography-measured muscle thickness of the trunk muscle correlated with their MRI-measured muscle cross-sectional area in healthy adults. Thus, there findings suggest that the application of ultrasonography for evaluating trunk muscle size may be a useful tool in the clinical setting.
