The new Department of Civil Engineering strives to teach students the essentials of the continuous flow from the urban planning phase to design, construction, and maintenance, and helps them learn the skills they need for managing the entire process. As a foundation for mastering these skills, students will gain knowledge of theoretical principles, mechanical basics, and the social sciences. fix News Disaster Prevention SRC Opens

Ritsumeikan applied to conduct an Integrated Large-Scale Sensor System and Robust Network Construction Project for Disaster Prevention and Safety under the 2004 High-Tech Research Center Project of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and we are pleased to announce that the application was approved.
The Disaster Prevention Systems Research Center (SRC) is the core facility for the project. The goal of this project is to link researchers involved in disaster prevention, information technologies, and sensor systems to facilitate the development of effective disaster prevention systems and technologies. It also strongly promotes industry?government?academic partnerships in these fields.
